Community & Process
Indigenous knowledge | Somatic Education | Earth Building
There is something transformative about being with the earth that allows truth to rise.
Creating an experience for our bodies, which wouldn’t normally exist in society, offers individuals and communities a way where we can meet and hear each other through direct contact with the earth. Working in a community and teaching resources of inner support or a method to create a home for someone who could never afford one, a fire pit, playground for all ages, or a life size sculptural marker inspires bodies to be curious, explore, and listen.

Somatic Education
This work illuminates implications of systemic oppression and privilege as it relates to the body and our voice, one’s sense of safety, and capacity for whole body expression. Exploring one’s personal relationship to speaking and moving offers individuals and communities space and time to reflect on sensors for survival, with resources to make a new choice. Earth Building
Earth building in community are rich body based activations of change, catalyzing deeper awareness for evolving environmental, indigenous, and social justice realities. Each work is unique to the land and people it is with, lifting up a present and primitive relationship with the land, and the messages of value for us today. Working across generations, embodied earth markers are living invitations to explore a re-mapping of presence and belonging. Earth Works
“What I appreciate about being with the earth is that when you’re in contact with it it brings out a truth. Gathering around a circle, and building ring by ring, brings us in touch with an intelligence that is deeper than our own.”
