Festival of the World

With participants from over 13 countries, eight inventive earth works were built on the Southbank, London.

Outside the Hayward Gallery and National Theater these works contributed to the “Festival of the World” to mark the celebrations of the Queens Jubilee which saw over 8 million viewers. The largest work was called the “London earth creature,” a forty ton dome that was invited to stay well over a year beyond the original exhibition.
